Greetings to all of our members!
It has been a while since we have had a proper members’ meeting, and while we hope you have all saved the date of 28th September from previous communications, we are now able to tell you what is actually going to happen. This is going to be an informative and inspiring meeting to let you know about our exciting plans for our new grant-funded community and educational projects, potential crowdfunding around buying much-needed tools and equipment, and also giving you the chance to input into our farming plans for the future. In other words, your chance to tell us what veg you want to eat next year!
When: Wednesday, 28th September from 7:30 to 9:30 pm
Where: St. Werburghs Community Centre. See map here.
Light refreshments will be provided Please bring-and-share cake!
Launching of our 2 new grant-funded programmes: This part of the meeting will be led by Chris Sunderland, who will explain about the Real Food Club and associated community work, and Kirsty Philbrook, our new Education worker, who will introduce how she will be working with school groups.
Short group activity around slogans for our autumn crowdfunder: We want to know what you love about Sims Hill in some short and pithy phrases that will inspire people to help us upgrade our tools and equipment so we can grow ever better veg.
Growing update and member survey led by Miriam Schoen: This is your opportunity to tell our Farm Manager what you want to eat next year!
