Sims Hill at Bristol Food Connections Festival and the Get Growing Trail 2014!

We are hoping to grow to 70 full shares by the end of 2014! To do this we are running a series of stalls and participating in several events over the next few weeks. Look for us at Real Economy’s pop-up market at the Walled Garden in Barton Hill on 7th May, at the Food and Land Forum at Feed Bristol on 10th May (as part of the outstanding lineup of events at the Bristol Food Connections Festival), and also at Feed Bristol on 7th June as part of this year’s Get Growing Trail.

Next Members’ Meeting 22nd April!

Our next Members’ Meeting will be Tuesday 22nd April at 7:30 pm at Horfield Meeting House (see map.)

This is going to be a lively and informative meeting that will help us all get up to speed with some of the latest exciting developments going on at Sims Hill, such as:

  • We have a busy crew working on building our second polytunnel, and next we are going to start talking soil fertility!
  • We are planning how to strengthen and support our “growing” relationship with Feed Bristol!
  • We are about to become a certified Permaculture Land Centre (another way for members to get involved?)
  • We need more members to join us, learn with us, and best of all, help eat our lovely veg!
