This Saturday we shall be planting leeks at Sims Hill.
But there are a number of alternative smaller tasks too!
Workday is from 10am – 1pm.
Please wear suitable footwear and bring a hand trowel if you have one (preferably of the thinner variety).
Also please bring a large drink and picnic.
See you there, Tim

Sims Hill Shared Harvest invites you to come to the plot and celebrate the start of our first successful growing season and the imminent launch of our veg box scheme!
Venue: Sims Hill of course! Please go here for a map and directions to our lovely growing site on Bristol’s Blue Finger of Grade 1 agricultural land.
Date and time: 16 July from around 4ish.
What to bring: Food (including some for the BBQ!) and drink to share. We are also hoping to build a bonfire so bring guitars and your best singing voices. Children are more than welcome.
What’s happening: Farm tours, good food, socialising, and celebrating what happens when people come together around feeding Bristol from Bristol! Hoping to see you there!

Our next work day will be this Saturday 11 June from 10 am to 1 pm. We will be earthing up potatoes and offering farm tours to any visitors who may be coming by for the Get Growing Open Garden Day. Please note: UWE have opened car parks 2 and 3 for people to use on Saturdays.
Please bring rakes or spades if you can, a cheery smile, a packed lunch, and a mug! We will have a very small number of rakes and spades on the plot as our hard-working growing team (them with the vans) will be taking a well-deserved holiday break.

On Saturday 11 June Bristol’s growers are all set to open their garden gates and community plots for Bristol’s first ever Get Growing Garden Trail (10am–5pm). Here at Sims Hill we will be offering farm tours, a chance to join in one of our regular work days and a look at all the lovely fruit and veg that will be on show! Please note: We will only be open from 10 to 1 which are our usual work days hours.
